Teacher Assistant

Clear Lake Montessori School is looking for qualified teacher assistants for our childcare program. The ideal candidate will posses the following:

  • Be local.
  • High school degree or college degree.
  • At least one year experience in a licensed child care center.
  • Be flexible.
  • Willing to assist a new owner grow a school.
  • Great customer service.
  • Montessori experience preferred (not necessary; we will train the right person).
  • Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.

After School Teacher

Clear Lake Montessori School is a Full Member school through the American Montessori Society. We are in need of an After School Teacher to work with 6-12 year olds in a low class size setting. Students arrive at about 3:30, have snack, need help with homework, and some planning of enrichment activities. Having someone who can drive the school bus to pick the children up from public school is a plus!

Employee Performance Specialist

Job Duties:

  • Design salary assessment system and compensation packages that align with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Ensure salaries and benefits comply with the current legislation about human rights and pay equity.
  • Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g. using surveys and quantitative data).
  • Oversee the distribution of pay and benefits information to the company’s employees.
  • Track compensation and benefits benchmarking data.
  • Advises managers and supervisors on all the processes of performance management, including planning, monitoring, developing, and rewarding performance as well as the rating process.
  • Develops individual employee appraisal plans, completing appraisal forms, reappraising employees as appropriate, and provide counselling and training as necessary.
  • Responsible for providing complete program support to company on incentive awards, employee suggestions and performance appraisal system issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or Human resources is required.

Recruiter and Training Coordinator

Job Duties:

  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
  • Assist HR Manager in Clear Lake School to conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule .
  • Assist HR Manager in Clear Lake School to design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house).
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session.
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records. Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Research and recommend new training methods.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or Human resources is required.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar position.

  • Ensure both parties are protected from obligations that are fair and reasonable.
  • Ensure employee compensation packages are sound and well structured.
  • Evaluate employee benefits policies to assess whether they are current, competitive, and legal.
  • Choose and manage outside partners such as benefits vendors and investment brokers.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work activities of specialists and support staff.
  • Ensure that pay and benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare a program budget and keep operations within budget.
